Tauern Railway Museum 


As first Railway Museum in the Province of Salzburg, the museum in Schwarzach depicts the history of the Tauern Railway from its beginnings to the present day. It houses a collection of restored exhibits, which show the visitors history of the railway.

Schloss Goldegg

Goldegg Castle


The castle was built in 1323 by the "Lords of Goldekke“. Today it houses the Pongau Local Museum with a special room devoted to"Protestant Expulsion“. The largest historical treasure are the splendid "Knights' Hall“ with its Renaissance panelling and frescoes and the mediaeval bowers.

Krimml Waterfalls
