Winter walking

The "Salzburger Sonnenterrasse" boasts 100 km of cleared winter footpaths. The footpaths are easy to walk on and can be combined with the use of the "Sonnenterrasse" bus connecting the resorts. A stop off in one of the warm and cosy mountain huts is a must on a long winter walk. Impressed by the fabulous panorama you can stop in the Hochrainbergstubn or enjoy a coy mountain hut atmosphere in the rustic Kathialm.

Trough snowy winterforrests and on snowy winter-walkingpaths, trough the romantic Sonnenterrassen villages. ICE SKATING

In St. Veit and Schwarzach there are two well-kept and floodlit ice skating rinks. The natural ice skating rink on the frozen Goldegg Lake is a real joy in front of the magnificent backdrop of the Goldegg Castle. Skate hire available and numerous events, e. g. ice disco.
