Among our 47 km are one illuminated round tour run of 1 km and 30 km especially tracked for skating. Our central location additionally allows you to familiarise yourself with runs throughout the region. Here are eleven highlights for cross-country skiing on the Salzburg Sun Terrace:
This practice run is very flat and fully illuminated. These 2.5 km aren’t just great for beginners, pros can warm up for more cross-country skiing in Pongau here.
Go from Filz to the turning point Lärchenwald and back for a total of 3.5 km. This easy to medium run also features a 5-km-long skating track, about 2.5 km of which is illuminated.
Constantly increase the cross-country intensity from very easy to medium. These 1.5 km lead from St. Veit kindergarten to Hotel Sonnhof via Mühlbergbauer and Donauer Wiese.
How about a bigger challenge? Start at the kindergarten near Pichl to the Feldmoarbauer. Be careful on the tricky descent to Wegscheid! Afterward, you continue to Goldegg and the Bondlsee.
Golf isn’t a winter sport, but there’s the approx. 2.2-km-run Franz Schellhoren running around the golf club facility in the cold season. Beginners in particular love this almost flat run.
If cross-country skiing in Pongau cannot be challenging enough for you, you might want to tackle this golf course alternative. The Olympia run takes a more arduous detour through difficult terrain.
Goldegger See Loipe
Circle around this quiet, frozen lake on this approx. 1.4-km-long run. This easy track gets you in balance with nature and features stunning views.

Voithof – March – Bondlsee Loipe
Cross-country skiing for pros: 13.8 km, 270 metres of altitude and tricky descents lead through the heart of the Salzburg Sun Terrace. This run is for experienced cross-country skiers only.
The romantic run can prove quite challenging for experiences skiers. It offers many an ascent over its 8 km length and 155 metres of. The divine Hochkönig view is the reward for your effort.
Short but intense: The 1.7-km-long run Günther Chromecek leads across short, tough ascents, most certainly combined with divine, glorious views of the region.
