The aim is to work together with the child and their family to achieve the best possible recovery of health on an individual basis. Further goals include reintegration into social and school or professional life, as well as preventive measures for the future.

In addition to medical and therapeutic treatments, depending on age, attendance at a therapeutic kindergarten, a special needs school (including upper secondary level), and access to career orientation are integral parts of rehabilitation.

Not only the primary patient – the affected child or adolescent – receives individual treatment within family-oriented therapy, but also every affected family member (secondary patient).

The Sonnberg Rehabilitation Clinic in St. Veit is located in the heart of nature, surrounded by the unforgettable panoramic scenery of the Pongau mountains. It offers 48 modern rooms across two stations (Building 1 and Building 2).

Both buildings include group and individual therapy rooms for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, creative therapy, and various forms of psychotherapy. In addition, a relaxation bath and massage table are available upon medical recommendation.

The clinic is surrounded by a spacious park area featuring a Kneipp pool, relaxation loungers, a barefoot trail stimulating reflex zones, and the Seelacken Museum. Various hiking trails start directly from the premises.

The Health Center Goldegg specialises in the regeneration of patients with special health burdens. Three-week recovery stays are offered both after surgeries and in cases of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, severe exhaustion, or adjustment disorders.

Patients with metabolic conditions such as diabetes, as well as those with persistent symptoms after a COVID-19 infection, are also well cared for in Goldegg. The focus is equally on the regeneration of body and mind.
