The Leuwaldhof is responsible for patients in the areas of oncology, including family-oriented rehabilitation and metabolic disorders!
The aim is to work with a family and their child individually to achieve the best possible restoration of health. Further goals are the extensive reintegration into the social and educational/professional environment as well as preventive measures for the future.
In addition to the medical-therapeutic measures, depending on the age group, attendance at the curative kindergarten, the curative school (incl. upper school) and access to vocational orientation are also an integral part of rehabilitation.
Not only the primary patient, meaning the sick child or the sick adolescent, receives individual treatment within the framework of family-oriented therapy, but also each affected family member (secondary patient).
